Rock Softball 2019
The Slippery Rock University Softball program prides itself on producing unforgettable relationships and experiences that transforms our student athletes into better leaders, competitors, and more importantly, better women. Being a part of the Slippery Rock University Softball team means a great deal. It means we are committed—committed to our teammates, our coaches, and our university. It means we work hard—a daily balance of academics, practice, and conditioning It means we wear green and white with pride and our uniform with confidence. It means friendship, leadership, communication, selflessness, family, sacrifice, and love. Slippery Rock Softball means everything.
However, our love for the game won’t balance the price tag of what a softball season costs. Currently, Slippery Rock University Softball Program is not fully funded; therefore, we heavily rely on student fundraising efforts to help offset the cost of equipment, travel, and lodging. This year, in our quest for the PSAC Championship, we will continue to travel to South Carolina, Virginia and Florida. SRU helps with the cost of our Spring Break trip to Florida and partial help with our tournament in SC, but our trip to Virginia is 100% fundraised: hotel, food, and transportation—approximately $7,000.00. And not to mention, we have over $3,000.00 worth of equipment and apparel that must be fundraised in addition to our operating costs.
With that said, we need your help! Your participation in our campaign will help us achieve our goals and allow us to focus less on raising money and more on our competitive season ahead.
All donors will receive a personalized thank you letter, online recognition, and a Rock Softball window decal. Donors who give $150 or more higher will also receive a Rock Softball scarf.
Alumni who donate $100 or more will be acknowledged as “Distinguished Alumni” in addition to the gifts mentioned above. For more information about becoming a Distinguished Alumni, please contact coach Stacey Rice at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, visit www.srufoundation.org/matching.
This campaign will close December 31, 2019.
Rock Field Hockey 2019
The Rock Field Hockey Program is excited for the 2019 season! We would like to welcome our freshmen class and their friends and family to our program. Also, welcome and thank you to all returning friends and family for your generous support.
2018-2019, marked our eighth consecutive year we earned the highest GPA in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. This year, we will continue our consistency on the field while maintaining our high academic standards.
Alumni, family and friends, we're counting on you again this year! Please help us improve our team's overall experience. Your donations will be put to work immediately, providing enhancements to the Rock Hockey student-athlete experience including: leadership development opportunities, a fully-stocked fueling station filled with healthy food choices, updates to our locker room, and fitness and wellness instructors. With your help, we will continue to support the academic and athletic success of each Rock Field Hockey player.
